Taye Diggs a Potential Guest Star?!

Filed under Glee Guest Stars, Glee TV Show News by Tinkers on 15-06-2010

Taye DiggsYep, you heard right folks: Taye Diggs is a-go for a guest spot! Kristin Dos Santos posted this in her E! blog, Watch With Kristin:

We just chatted up Taye and asked him the exact same question—and Spoiler Alert—he’s onboard! “I would love to do it,” Taye gushed at the prospect of guest starring on Glee. “I love the show; I’m a straight up fan. It’s so enjoyable to watch and to see a show for people who to sing and dance. Plus, I love how they integrated Idina into the show, and I would love to be a guest.”

Could Taye be a potential candidate for Mercedes’ dentist father? Or perhaps a replacement coach for Vocal Adrenaline? Are you as unbelievably excited as I am?! Post away!

Watch with Kristin: Wheelchair-less Artie, Lady Gaga and more!

Filed under Glee Cast & Crew, Glee Episode Spoilers, Glee Events, Glee TV Show News, Kevin McHale by Tinkers on 23-03-2010

Thanks to the latest update from E! Online’s Kristin, we now know for a fact that Artie will be hopping out of his wheelchair to bust a few moves! Sadly, there will be no Easter miracle for our favorite paraplegic, but Kevin Mchale will get to show off some of his moves in a great, great dream sequence.

Also: Updates on the Lady Gaga episode, Quinn’s baby, and the Finn/Rachel and Puckleberry story arcs!

Randall: What’s the latest on Glee?

Just that I nearly suffered cardiac arrest after hearing this from a source on set: “Artie (Kevin McHale) was walking and dancing around with the rest of the cast…out of his wheelchair!” After breathing into a paper bag and doing some sleuthing, I can tell you that Glee is not going to send Artie to a mysterious island with a smoke monster where he can be healed and magically walk (à la Terry O’Quinn’s John Locke on Lost), but yes, we will see him out of his wheelchair dancing. According to this source, episode 18 is about Artie wanting to walk, and he has a dream in which he dances around with the rest of the cast. Then everything goes back to how it was before. It should be fun to see Kevin McHale’s fancy (Or not? We’ll see.) footwork for the first time, no?

Marty: When will we find out about Quinn’s baby and where she will go?

Not until the end of this season, according to boss Ryan Murphy. “You’ve got to wait until the season finale to find out how we’re gonna do that,” Ryan tells me. “In the first 13, we had a lot of baby pregnancy stuff. We had a lot of storylines, and I think fans liked that, but they wanted more fun. They wanted more music, so we are dealing with that, but in a sparing way.”

Marlene in Idaho: What can you tell me about Finn and Rachel, or Puck and Rachel?

Well, Lea Michele told my friend Marc Malkin that Rachel’s “heart is with Finn” (yay!), so that’s definitely good news for you Finn and Rachel shippers. As for Puck and Rachel, I’m hearing rumblings of a very sad twist for Puck (Mark Salling) that’s so serious I don’t even want to hint at it for fear I’ll cry.

Tracy in Tallahassee, Fla.: Any more scoop on the Lady Gaga episode of Glee?

Just that if you’re a fan of Gaga, you’re going to be a fan of the Glee episode because all of those wackadoodle costumes she dons on a daily basis are going to be included in the ep. We’d kill to see Sue Sylvester waltzing around in a leotard with some sort of gigantic contraption on her head à la Gaga, wouldn’t you? Or better yet, Mr. Schue.

Fox Orders the Back 9

Filed under Glee TV Show News by Rob on 21-09-2009

Glee has been picked up for the back nine! This means that Fox ordered nine more episodes to be produced. Those 9 plus the initial 13 that they have already filmed means 22 episodes in total for season one! This is great news, since that means the ratings have been going well. Hopefully they’ll order a season two! Fingers crossed ;)

Here’s a quote from Watch with Kristin:

And thank goodness, too, because Glee star Jane Lynch recently told us, “I am a mature, experienced professional who will probably go off into a corner and cry if the show is not picked up for nine more.” And according to the radioactively charismatic Amber Riley, “If we get picked up for nine more, we’ll go back in January.” Since that if is now a when, expect to see the final nine on the air in late March or early April.

But what’s to come in the remaining 10 produced episodes? We caught up with the cast recently, and they spilled lots of secrets. Read on to find out about an all-wheelchair dance number, a Lindy Hop between an unlikely pair and which two wildly different characters might shock you by hooking up…

Great News: Fox Picks Up a Full Season of Glee!

Update: Kevin Reilly, FOX’s Entertainment President, gave this quote in a press release: “The response we’ve received to Glee has been remarkable. It’s already got the makings of a cultural phenomenon. I’ve seen all 13 episodes, and Ryan Murphy, his team and the talented Glee cast have knocked our socks off with their incredible work. We’re happy to pick up this gem of a show and can’t wait to see what they’ll do with the rest of the season.”

Glee Relationship Spoilers!

Filed under Glee Episode Spoilers by Rob on 15-07-2009

Watch with Kristin has revealed a few spoilers about the relationships between the Glee club members that we’ll all be watching this fall.

Sarah in Pasadena, Calif.: Glee scoop please. Preferably on Finn and Rachel!
Lea Michele
really hopes Rachel and Finn (Cory Monteith) get together when Glee returns this fall: “I’m keeping my fingers crossed!” she tells us. As for Finn’s current girlfriend, Quinn, she’ll be sticking around for a while. Dianna Agron says, “There’s more than one love triangle. There are many, many love triangles, and they’re always changing.”

Gabriela: In the next episodes of Glee, is there any hope or hint for us Puck-Quinn fans?

If you want to see the head Cheerio hook up with Mohawk guy, there is most definitely hope and a hint in the upcoming episodes of Glee, but we can’t tell you more than that or Glee creator Ryan Murphywould kill us. OK, we’ll give you a hint. At least two of the people pictured [here] have a secret, and at least three are big fat traitors.

Love Quadrangle with Ken Tanaka?

Filed under Glee Episode Spoilers by Rob on 01-07-2009

Ken Tanaka
Is Ken Tanaka (Patrick Gallagher) a potential point in Glee’s adult love quadrangle along with Will, Terri and Emma? Watch with Kristin answers a fan question and brings us the scoop:

Dave in Seattle: I know it’s so far away, but can you spill anything about the new season of Glee?
Fans may love the Finn-Quinn-Rachel love triangle, but the adult version is definitely one to keep your eyes on. While Will (Matthew Morrison) is married to Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig) and Emma (Jayma Mays) is pining for Will, the unlikely fourth point of the love quadrangle, Ken Tanaka (True Blood‘s Patrick Gallagher), should not be counted out. Gallagher tells us of the slightly creepy football coach: “I think you understand where Ken comes from as they go on. You understand where the bitterness comes from, and people may start to like him a little. Ken will keep going [after Emma]. Ken will go after what he wants. The one thing Ken won’t do is give up.”
