I think you all will be as ecstatic as I am to learn that Lea Michele and Kristin Chenoweth, who’s already spent some time over in Oz originating the role of Galinda in the Broadway blockbuster “Wicked” (but I’m sure you already knew that), will be reuniting on the big screen come 2011! The two will star in an animated feature film called ”Dorothy of Oz” in which Dorothy, voiced by Lea Michele, is said to return to the land of Oz in a whole new set of adventures. Kristin Chenoweth will be lending her voice, not to Glinda, but to a new character called the China Doll Princess.
Rumors of other characters are rampant as well – the Scarecrow is said to be voiced by Dan Aykroyd (of SNL, The Blues Brothers, and Ghostbusters fame), the Tin Man by Kelsey Grammer (Cheers, Fraiser, The Simpsons) , and the Cowardly Lion by James Belushi (According to Jim). She returns to find her old friends missing in action, only to make some magical new ones — including a man made entirely of Mashmallows and Kristin’s China Doll Princess, described as a woman who uses bossiness to cover her fragility. They team up to bring down Oz’s newest villain, a Jester (voiced by Martin Short) who thinks all of Oz should be under his control.
The Dorothy of Oz website lists Disney animation vet Daniel St. Pierre as the film’s director, with songs written by country singer/songwriter Tift Merritt and lyricist Mike Himelstein and a score by Jim Dooley, who worked on Chenoweth’s former TV show Pushing Daisies.
A full list of the crew is available on the film’s website: http://www.dorothyofozthemovie.com/.

reunite on the big screen
PopWatch has some awesome news for fans of Kristin Chenoweth! She will be returning for at least one of the “back nine” episodes that has yet to be filmed. Also, Julia Roberts is a Gleek and Ryan Murphy is writing an episode (which sounds hilarious) in response to Glee getting bumped from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
We have even MORE Glee news to deliver, PopWatchers: Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) will reprise her role as the boozy glee alum April Rhodes for at least one episode in 2010. (Listen to her sing “Maybe This Time” in the window below.) [Watch on EW.com]
Plus, Glee has gotten the stamp of approval of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars: Julia Roberts. Co-creator Ryan Murphy, who is currently filming Eat, Pray, Love with Roberts in Bali, tells EW, “We’re on location here and she’s watched episodes and has quite enjoyed them.” I could totally see Roberts being a major Gleek.
And finally, Murphy also says that he’s planning on using the whole NBC/Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade snafu into an upcoming episode. Look for the glee club to get denied from having a float in the spring festival parade thanks to the villainous Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), standing in for NBC.

A teddy bear with a tag signed by Matthew Morrison is up for auction on ebay! The proceeds go to The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Here is what Lisa Spodak (LisaWalks.com) told us:
Every year I walk in The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer — a 2-day, 39.3 mile walk to raise money and awareness to fight breast cancer.
One of the ways I raise money is to ask celebrities to sign tags on little
breast cancer bears and auction them off along with a photo of the celebrity with a bear.
Right now, I have an auction for a bear signed by Matthew Morrison! There’s a photo attached and here’s the link:

I also have a pink boxing glove signed by guest star Kristin Chenoweth, along with other cast members of Pushing Daisies. [Link:] Pink boxing glove signed by cast of Pushing Daisies
The auction for the Matthew Morrison bear ends tonight and the auction for the Pushing Daisies glove ends tomorrow. Check them out and make a bid before it’s too late.
So rumor has it that a member of New Directions might be taking a step in a different direction for a while. According to E Online’s Watch With Kristin, one of the members of the Glee club will be taking a leave. For more details (like who the quitter is) on this lovely spoiler, click “Read more” or check out the original post here.
Also, there might be some tidbits about guest star Kristin Chenoweth’s role. ;)
