Update: The Q&A is now up here!
Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina Cohen-Chang on Glee, has been nice enough to answer some questions to be submitted by you guys, my fellow Gleeks! We are selecting which questions to send to her over the weekend, so please have your questions submitted by 11:59pm EST on Friday night, May 29th. You may either leave your question(s) here as a comment, or PM them to me on www.GleeForum.com. (My username is “Rob” on the messageboard.)
So put on your thinking caps and send us those questions! =)

What do you think of the massive critical response Glee has already gotten, nearly half a year before the show even premieres?
Will Tina be able to say more than 5 words in a sentence?
I heard that you were in Spring Awakening on Broadway (LOVE that show).. Do you enjoy acting for TV more/less enjoyable than on Broadway?
Jenna, which songs would like to sing, or see in future episodes of Glee?
Hey Jenna!
Was it a coincidence that you and Lea wound up starring together on Glee after both being in Spring Awakening? Is it more comfortable to act/perform with someone you’ve previously worked with?
I understand that the dancing was hard on some of the cast, (thank whomever put the clips on Hulu for us) but how about the singing? Was it difficult to learn to sing as a choir?
Will the reason for her stutter be revealed in the season?
Does she get a solo? What other kinds of music does she get to sing?
What’s your favorite among the song you’ve sung so far in Glee? Why?
What are the pros/cons of working on TV vs. Broadway?
To Jenna,
What do you think the writers/producers of Glee are trying to do with the character of the Asian Tina? It almost seems they’re at once trying to both combine stereotypes AND break stereotypes.
Jenna, the promotion machine for GLEE is in overdrive right now which means the show is breaking the pop culture lexicon and becoming a phenom after just one airing. Are you at all worried that Fox will over-saturate the publicity and over-hype the show during the hiatus between the special preview last week and your premiere this Fall?
The show is cramazing and thank you for bringing someone like Tina to the small screen. I can’t wait to see more from her as the future episodes unveil themselves this Fall.
Hey Jenna :) My question is about BEFORE the show started. What were auditions like, and did you originally try out for Tina, or did you try for another character and get her? LOVE your character by the way :) Thanks!
I just wanted to congratulate you from one East Meadower to another! You are great!
i just wanna know how many takes it took to get the shots of Rachel gettin that red slushee to the face! haha
What was your experience in high school like? Was it anything like Tina’s? You are amazing by the way :]
First of all, congrats, Jenna! You are so amazing – and so cute! You’re so smiley in interviews. :)
How has being Asian affected your career? How significant is it for Tina’s character that she is Asian?
And some nice random ones:
If you were a sandwich, what would you be made of?
What’s your favorite kind of candy?
What’s your favorite song to sing in the shower?
Is there anything in your closet that really ought not to see the light of day, but that you love anyway? (Or in your music collection!)
Thanks!!!!
Which of your cast member(s) have you gotten closest to while filming Glee?
How did you get involved with Glee? How is it different playing Tina than playing Thea (if it’s not Thea, I’m sorry (: )?
If you could write a storyline for your character for one episode, what would it be?
If you could switch roles with any of the other cast members, which would you switch with and why?
What do you find more challenging – television or stage roles?
What other actors/singers inspire you the most?
What was the point when you decided that you would take the Glee job? Did you ever have any doubts about the performance of the show? What are you most looking forward to in the coming season?
hey jenna!
you were so amazing in SA! How does living/working in New York differ from LA? Do you enjoy it more/less?
Jenna: Besides Lea, who else do you keep in touch with from Spring Awakening? Loved Glee and can’t wait for the fall!
what do you think about how drastically Glee’s Fan Base is growing?!
Hi Jenna!!
I’m from Brazil and i want to know what changed in your life since you started to make Glee, and wich performance is your favorite. Kisses
What is it like working with the rest of the cast? They must be hilarious since the show is so funny.
Are there anymore broadway shows in your future?
will we ever get to meet cohen and chang?
where’s your favorite place to eat in new york?
what was your favorite class you took at marymount?
will tina and artie end up getting together?
Jenna,
Since the pilot episode hasn’t revealed much about Tina’s background or personality, what can we expect in the next few episodes?
Hey! first off, i loved Glee! Was it fun to make the pilot episode? And if so, what was the best part for you?
Which is more difficult, acting and singing onstage in Spring Awakening, or on camera in Glee?
Hi Jenna!
I would love to hear more of your personal story. On IMDB you have one credit before Glee, a short film from way back in 2001. How close were you to giving up on your Hollywood dreams before Glee came along? And are you ready for the rollercoaster you are on now?
Hey, does your character go in dept??
Jenna!
Firstly, might I just say that I LOVE you so much and totally want you to follow me on twitter (twitter.com/dirigibles). But anyways, here’s my question: If you could sing any song on Glee that you want, which would it be?
Hi Jenna!
I was wondering which actress inspires you every day before you go on set of Glee?
What is it like to work with one of your Spring Awakening castmates, Lea Michele?
I really love your show and am anxiously awaiting the new fall season. I have yet to hear anyone say anything bad about the show. It’s a big hit. How do you feel about super-stardom? Are you ready for it?
I loved the a cappella aspects of “Don’t Stop Believing”! (like the da da da da’s) My a cappella group has been singing it non-stop! Will any of the songs in future episodes also have these a cappella aspects to them or will they be like the performance of “Rehab”, which is more show choir-y?
BTW, I also loved the a cappella scene transitions and background music! =D
