“Glee: The Music, Volume 2″ Soundtrack – Dec. 8

The second Glee soundtrack, Glee: The Music, Volume 2, is set to be released on December 8th, 2009 by Columbia Records. It will feature songs from episodes 9 -13 (”Wheels” through “Sectionals”) and will not be the last soundtrack for season one.

Personally, I cannot wait for “True Colors” and “My Life Would Suck Without You!” And co-creator Brad Falchuk says that the cast performance of “Imagine,” which is a collaboration with a deaf choir, is truly something special. “I’m warning you to prepare for that,” says Falchuk. “There’s been no one who’s watched that number and not cried. It’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen.”

Is there any news on a possible promo tour for volume 2 of the soundtrack? I wasn’t able to attend the signings for volume 1.

Imagine and My Life Would Suck Without You were two of my favourite songs in show but you have released NEITHER of them as the show version.
Imagine does not include the deaf choir which is the whole point of the song in the show and the last song doesn’t include the male section as per the show which was one of the reasons I really love the song.
In future, when you make the music people love in the show and release the songs please release them as the way we loved them – show versions not done up versions for the sake of a nice sounding song – thats not why i love them.
I agree with Michael, but for some of them (i.e. Defying gravity- it hurts to hear Kurt’s voice crack) i prefer “done up” but others like Imagine, the show version was so much better since it did include the deaf choir.
If they prefer to have some of the songs enhanced they should sell them as separate songs, so if it tickles your jolly to have a nice sounding song, they can, but those that prefer the show’s tune can enjoy everything in it’s original quality.
