Mr. Schuester, do you have any idea how ridiculous it is to give the lead solo in “Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat” to a boy in a wheelchair? — Rachel
ZAP2it’s Korbi is releasing a new Glee interview from PaleyFest EVERY DAY THIS WEEK! Today she unveiled this great, great interview with Chris, talking about his love for Finn and how easy it is to feel sorry for his character. Read the full story at KorbiTV and watch the video below! :)
Whew! So much Glee news been going around lately, hasn’t there? It’s getting hard to keep track of it all…but that’s why we’re here! :) Thanks to Kristin, Ausiello, PaleyFest, and all the fansites out there, there’s a cornucopia (SAT word!) of new info floating around! Here are three videos where the cast dishes on all the new guest stars and talk about what’s to come!
ZAP2it’s Korbi with another first person POV interview with Cory Montieth! I love her. Don’t you love her?
Another favorite: Kristin! Watch as she presses ever-popular Cory for info on Finn/Rachel.
Finally, Entertainment Tonight’s coverage of PaleyFest, where the stars talk about Molly Shannon and NPH! Hazzah! (Thanks to GleekCast for the upload!)
Glee continues to promote its international premieres by holding flash mobs coordinated by the local stations. In honor of Spain’s premiere of Glee on March 22nd, these flash mobbers burst into choreographed dance in Madrid, Spain.
All the entries are in and it’s time to announce the Top Ten finalists for our Gleek Talent Showcase Contest.
It’s Round 2!
We’ve looked through all the entrants’ videos, and we’ve picked our Top Ten! These finalists displayed some of the best talent with their videos entries.
To be fair, please watch all the contests’ videos before voting in the poll at the bottom of the post.
Voting will end on March 29th, which is when we will announce the winners. Good luck!
1) Stephanie Ciotta
Singing “Hole in My Heart” by Alphabeat
Stephanie is 19 years old. Though she attends school in Boston, she was born and raised in New York. She loves music and hopes to pursue a career in the field later on. Enjoy her cover of the song “Hole in My Heart” by Alphabeat! She actually spliced together video of her singing both of the parts! Neat!
2) Jack Savige
Short Film -- “Don’t Stop Believin’”
Jack is 19 years old, from Melbourne, Australia and currently studying screenwriting. He made a hilarious video based on the concept of three Glee fans writing an episode for the premiere of Glee’s second season. It is hilarious and definitely shows off his talent for film making! When deciding who to vote for, remember: W.W.C.C.D.?
3) Mary Pascoe
Singing “Mercedes Benz” by Janis Joplin
Mary lives in Los Angeles, California, and submitted a video of a live performance she did there. She’s both an actress and a singer-songwriter. She plays the guitar, trumpet, and piano, and even self-produced an album called “Who Brings a Cat to the Disco?”! Enjoy her lively rendition of “Mercedes Benz” by Janis Joplin!
4) Cara-Lynn Branch
Painting…
Cara-Lynn Branch is 21 years old and lives in Canada. She writes books, lyrics & scripts for musicals. Despite her major in musical theater, the talent she chose to display is more unique. Describing it just as “painting” doesn’t do it justice. Just watch it. If you don’t appreciate it, then you aren’t a true Gleek! XD
5) Celeste Kamiya
Singing “A Case of You” by Joni Mitchell
Celeste lives in San Francisco, California and has been a huge Glee fan since the first 2 seconds of the pilot. Also a huge fan of the Broadway musical Spring Awakening, she enjoys singing, acting, and dancing. Although she’s too young to audition for Glee, I think you’ll love her version of “A Case of You” by Joni Mitchell that she sang for our Gleek Talent Showcase.
6) Steven Karunphand
Singing “Ordinary People” by John Legend
Steven Karunphand is from Belleville, New Jersey. He’s 21 years old and currently attending college at Fordham University in New York. For our contest, he sang “Ordinary People” by John Legend. Enjoy!
7) Rebecca Michelson
Singing “Terrified” by Kara DioGuardi & an Original Song
Rebecca goes to school in Boston, but lives just outside of Philadelphia. She’s a freshman in college and loves to sing, play the guitar and play the piano. She says that she secretly wants to be on Broadway someday, but has major nerves. Maybe one day! Enjoy an original song about her love of Glee, a Kara DioGuardi song and a bit of piano playing.
8) Jean Ryan Escalante
Singing “Swallowed in the Sea” by Coldplay, a cappella
Jean is 22 years old and his hometown is Yellowknife, NT in Canada. He’s currently attending Vancouver Film School. His musical background includes three years in his high school’s choir, one semester in concert band, and a supporting role in a musical with a solo. Also, he gets a lot of vocal practice by singing in the shower every day. Here’s his a cappella version of “Swallowed in the Sea” by Coldplay.
9) Katherine Paige
Singing “Someone to Watch Over Me” by Gershwin.
Paige is 14 years old and lives in Bakersfield, California. Recently she played the role of Mrs. Potts in a production of Beauty & The Beast, and although she’s too young to audition for Glee, she sent us a video of her singing “Someone to Watch Over Me” by Gershwin. Enjoy!
10) Elena Dudum
Singing “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles
Elena is 17 years old, lives in San Francisco, California and is Palestinian-American. She loves being in musical theater productions, both in her school and with local theater companies. When she isn’t singing, she enjoys designing and sewing her own line of clothing. For our contest, she sang “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles. [Warning: the audio's a little quiet, so you may want to turn your volume up.]

Cast your votes!
In the spirit of Glee, please do NOT spam vote by voting a ton of time for one person. Every voter should vote once, selecting all the contestants that they’d like to win. Let’s keep this contest as fair as possible, so it’s truly the most talented person winning, not just the person that got the most spam votes. Thank you very much and good luck to all the contestants! :)
[Edit: Also, voting before looking at the results or reading the comments will help keep the contest more fair and balanced. Thanks!]
Today is our very first Flashback Friday! From now on, every Friday (at least, that’s our plan), we will be bringing you a Glee-related blast from the past. It could be an old (but still awesome) Glee video/article that you may have missed. Or maybe, as is the case with today, it will be something related to a Glee cast member’s work before Glee.
For today, we’re bringing you a commercial that Cory Monteith made for Western Canada Lottery’s lotto game EXTRA. “With more than 8 million EXTRA winners in the west every year, that’s a whole lot of cheering.” At least now we know what Finn would look like in a Cheerios uniform!
After Entertainment Tonight’s aired an exclusive preview for the back 9 of Glee, I was given this version of the preview to post here! To be honest, this clip is infinitely better since you actually get to hear the music they’re singing, instead of the Entertainment Tonight host’s voice over.
It is full of clips from the upcoming Madonna episode and you can even see guest star Jonathan Groff as the lead singer in Vocal Adrenaline! Exciting! :D
Check out this interview with Jennifer Lopez where she talks about her upcoming guest appearance on Glee. She says that she would be willing to give them her entire catalog to work with because she’s a huge fan of the show herself. Awesome! Do you think we’ll have a JLo episode somewhere in Season 2?
Here’s a sneak peek of filming for a basketball scene in an upcoming episode in the back 9 of Glee!
I found some video footage that somebody leaked online, and so I edited together this video for you guys. See if you can spot Cory Monteith (Finn) and Mark Salling (Puck) on the court. Enjoy! :)
In a hilarious Glee parody on The Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy comes up with a plan to raise the money the show needs to buy cue cards. In order to win the prize money from sectionals, they form a glee club! The whole thing is hilarious, but my favorite part is the performance at the end.
… and this is why we love them. XD
Thanks to Cory Montieth (@frankenteen) for tweeting this with twitvid!
Update: Here’s another of them walking in slow motion. This time, they’re in costume. Pay special attention to what Amber and Chris are wearing… spoiler! Edit: It looks like Cory already deleted his tweet for the video, but hasn’t deleted it from twitvid yet. I bet someone gets in trouble for this! (Good thing I downloaded a copy of the video already! Hehe…)
Lea presented the award for “Best Female Pop Vocal” at the 52nd Annual Grammy awards tonight! Here are some pics and videos of her on the red carpet, in E!’s 360 Glam Cam, and lastly, presenting! Or, you can download them all in HD. :)
Check out these Japanese promos which confirm the rumors that Glee will be airing in Japan! Glee is taking over the world! :)
Video Description:
GLEE took home a huge honor in the 67th Golden Globe awards for Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical. But even that heavy hit does not tip the humor scale the way former Japanese Sumo Great Akebono did in his hilarious musical tribute to GLEE’s Japan debut. In a TV promo the singing giant comes to the aid of a bullied Japanese sumo kid [& Japanese salary man.]
Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz used their Flip cams to take us behind the scenes of the Golden Globes! See them get ready, walk the red carpet and hang out at the Glee table! Thanks to E!Online for the videos!
