Mr. Shue No Longer Shaving His Head for Britney Episode

Filed under Glee Episode Spoilers, Glee TV Show News, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison by Tinkers on 10-08-2010

Sources were originally reporting that Mr. Shue would shave his head in protest of New Directions perfoming Britney’s music. It appears that part of the episode was meant to be a surprise, but is no longer happening now that everyone knows. Whoops!

Heather Morris tells Access Hollywood at the Teen Choice Awards: “I guess they’re deciding not to do it now because it was supposed to be the surprise…then Ryan got wind that everybody found out and he was like, ‘I don’t think we can do it anymore because now it’s out’.”

Matthew Morrison added that if the head-shaving happened anyway, he would actually shave his head, instead of using a double or a head cap. “I’d have to shave it ‘cause then it wouldn’t make sense with the rest of the series,” Matthew said. Glad he’s thinking about continuity!

He could totally pull it off though. “I’m so hot,” he kidded, “I did it a couple of years ago for a movie and I like it.”

Heather joked about having Britney shave her own head for the episode. She said she’d opt for the bald cap. I would too.

Glee Cast Rocks Madonna for TV Guide

Amber Riley as MadonnaIn this week’s issue of the newly redesigned TV Guide Magazine, the cast of Glee talks Madonna for their episode airing April 20 on FOX. Check out the cover below (click to see HQ quality image) and make sure to watch the behind the scenes video of their photo shoot!

Lea Michele talks about her early memories of attending Madonna’s Drowned World Tour three times and even styled her hair like Miss Ciccone when attending Bat Mitzvahs. On the other hand, Modonna wasn’t too important to Matthew Morrison, who says, “I wasn’t a big fan of Madonna; never got into it… As a heterosexual guy, she didn’t have much impact on my life.”

Glee Cast Rocks Madonna for TVGuide

Chris Colfer and Mark Salling both weren’t allowed to listen to Madonna growing up. Colfer says, “My mother and grandmother had all the CDs but didn’t want me to hear about sex.” Similarly, Mark Salling grew up in a strict Christian home in the South, so “Madonna was considered the she-devil.” Haha! Of course Jane Lynch, being a bit older, has memories of Madonna’s success from an older time. She recalls “sitting at a bar all drunk on Long Island ice teas watching her ‘Material Girl’ video and thinking, ‘How Ballsy.’ ” That sounds like something Sue Sylvester would say!

Latest from Ask Ausiello: Will to Become a Ladies’ Man!

Filed under Glee Episode Spoilers, Glee TV Show News, Matthew Morrison, Pictures by Tinkers on 17-03-2010

Ausiello‘s back with his exclusive Glee spoilers – this time, bearing some great news on the Will/Emma/Terri love triangle, further elaboration on Molly Shannon’s character, and FINALLY some closure on the Quinn pregnancy arc! READ BELOW, or Click here to read the original article!

Question: Have any Glee scoop on the Will/Emma/Terri triangle? —Ashley

Ausiello: Not just scoop, Ashley, but juicy scoop. As Matthew Morrison reminds us, his character “got married to his high school sweetheart, [so having] not been single for a very long time, I think he will get out there and see what is available to the single man these days.” That’s just the beginning! “I think we will see a little bit of a darker side to Mr. Schuster,” the actor continues. “He’s going to get himself into some situations that he has not been in before, and some he handles well and some… not.” Which is not to say that Mr. Nice Guy is about to become a complete ladies’ man. “His heart is really with Emma,” he hastens to add. “They will go on a few dates. [But] you just don’t get over a marriage in a few days, even if you do go out on dates.” Besides, Emma, sweet as she is, is a handful. “Terri is crazy, but he will come to find out that Emma is just as crazy, just in a different way,” Morrison teases. “He has that realization after she admits something to him that may stand in their way a little. And [on top of that] his ties to Terri are still there.” In related news…

Question: Glee scoop, please? —Dew

Ausiello: Word around William McKinley is that there will be some serious sexual tension between Will and Vocal Adrenalin’s new choir director, played by Idina Menzel.

Question: Do you know when Molly Shannon will be making her glorious Glee debut? I can’t wait to meet the woman who makes Sue Sylvester cry. —Michelle

Ausiello: She turns up in May and promptly “puts Sue in her place,” Jane Lynch told us at PaleyFest ‘10. “She’s probably the only person probably on the planet that can overpower Sue. She really puts her off balance and she doesn’t know what to make of her.” Echoing my initial scoop, Lynch says the SNL vet plays “this floozy alcoholic [named] Brenda Castle who got kicked out of her old school district for being inappropriate with her students. She’s teaching at our school now. Of course, we hired her. We’ll take anyone apparently. I lose it in front of her. She’s meaner than me. I like being intimidated. I’m an S&M kind of person so I love it. I love being on the M side.” Jane Lynch FTW!

Question: Will Quinn have her baby in the first half of Glee’s “back nine” episodes, or is it something they’ll drag on until next season? —Natalie

Ausiello: Let me say this: I hear the the show’s June 8 season finale really delivers.

Awkward ELLE Interview with Matthew Morrison

Filed under Glee Interviews, Matthew Morrison by Rob on 23-12-2009

Matthew MorrisonWell if this doesn’t make you feel awkward, then I don’t know what will. Here’s an excerpt from an interview that ELLE Magazine did with Matthew Morrison. I’m not quite sure what was running through the interviewer’s mind for his first few questions/comments…

ELLE: So, Matt, you’re a musical theater star who’s been interviewed by The Advocate and much discussed on Manhunt.com, and you star in Glee, a program that’s referred to as “the gayest show on TV.” You must feel particularly proud being the first gay man to grace this page.

MATTHEW MORRISON: I’m not gay.

ELLE: I had indeed read in various places that you’re straight, but in light of the circumstantial evidence, I wasn’t sure.

MM: I grew up singing and dancing, so people have been calling me gay since fifth grade. I’ve heard everything you could possibly hear about it. But I do love gay people, so I’m not going to act like I was insulted or angry about it.

ELLE: But do you ever do anything to suppress your gayest traits? Like, on a club dance floor, will you keep a lid on your best moves in order not to look too much like Tommy Tune out there?

MM: Oh, yeah. I’ll do what I refer to as “the shoulder dance,” just, you know, move my shoulders and do a little head bobbing.

To read the full excerpt posted on Elle.com, go here: Matthew Morrison – The music man has moves to make Timberlake blush, but in order to read the full story, you’ll have to purchase ELLE’s January issue. It can only get better, right? xD
